The December First Writers
The December First Writers, a Portland, Oregon-based collective of poets and writers named for World AIDS Day, has been giving readings since 2013 on the personal impact of AIDS/HIV on their lives. They are dedicated to education, dialogue, community-building, and raising awareness & support for AIDS organizations and resources. They engage all types of audiences with their diverse writing.
Their founding members are Marla Allen, Pat Vivian, David Rutiezer, and Sylvia Zingeser.
